Chronic Pain Management Group
The goal of this group is to teach participants the many non-pharmaceutical (without using medicines) means of managing daily activities despite the experience of pain.
An opportunity to learn new skills and to optimize skills that you have already learned to help you manage your chronic pain and achieve your goals.
The group has an interprofessional approach including input from an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, social worker, dietician, pharmacist, a family medicine pain consultant and a narrative medicine consultant.
Referrals to the group can be made by contacting our occupational therapist or speaking to your family doctor.
Persistent Pain Exercise Group – Postponed until further notice
This program incorporates what patients have learned in the Chronic Pain classes and brings it to the next level. This group is specifically for patients who have completed the Chronic Pain classes and want a review of self-management strategies and a free exercise component.
An assessment by a family doctor with a specialty in medical management of chronic pain can be completed in our clinic. Referrals to this specialist can be made by your family doctor or nurse practitioner.
